1. Set Realistic Goals and Expectations for Yourself and Your Business

Constantly putting pressure on yourself to reach specific unachievable goals will inevitably add more stress and anxiety to your life. Taking some time to set realistic goals helps put things into perspective and breaks down projects to feel less intimidating.

2. Delegate and Outsource When Possible

More times than not, doing everything yourself and not asking for help will feel overwhelming. When possible, delegating and outsourcing leave you room to work on pressing matters without feeling like you have to do it all on your own.

3. Take Regular Breaks

Important jobs or projects may make you feel like you want to work on them until they are finished. Although it may seem easier to power through in the moment, this strategy can lead to burnout and make you less productive over the years. Taking small breaks to clear your head will make it easier to concentrate on your work.

4. Make Time For Yourself Outside of Work

Creating and maintaining a healthy work-life balance is important, so work does not become all-consuming.

5. Exercise and Eat Well

Exercising and eating well are two proven ways to reduce stress.

6. Get Enough Sleep

If you are not maintaining a solid sleep schedule, simple tasks and everyday challenges will be much more difficult to handle calmly. Aiming for seven to eight hours is ideal for waking up feeling refreshed.

7. Simplify Your Life

Juggling too many things in your life will create added stress that will trickle into your business. In addition, having too much going on at one time will lead to heightened anxiety and lower your productivity.

8. Connect with Nature

Spending time outside is important to keep you feeling grounded and connected to what is going on around you outside of your business.

9. Practice Meditation or Mindfulness

Meditation and mindfulness reduce stress by focusing on the moment and releasing any worries about the past or future you may be experiencing.

10. Seek Professional Help if Necessary

Seeking professional stress is nothing to be ashamed of and is something you should do if you are struggling to manage your stress.
