Sorry, no. We want to make sure your site is always up-to-date so we will use the allocated time each month to check and update anything that needs it and then tackle any additional tweaks you might have.
The whole purpose of our friend plans is prevention to keep these exact things from happening but, in the case your website gets rolled into the ER, we will be there right by its side holding its hand and communicating with your web hosting on your behalf. We cannot promise your website will not be hacked but we can promise we will do everything in our power to prevent it and if it does go down, we’ll get you dusted off and back on your feet ASAP.
Content update requests and small design improvements are the most common requests, however, anything that can fit into your monthly support time is fair game. Keep in mind that our programs are aimed at maintaining your current website and requests for new features often take more time than the monthly allowance. We’re happy to give you an estimate on any additional work you might want done though.
Email is our best form of communication with the fastest response however, we get that brainstorming works best on the phone or on a video call. These consulting calls are reserved for our BFF and Friends with {Techie} Benefits clients. We can talk strategy, use this time to online screen-share small updates or for training.
If you have a task that requires more than your dedicated monthly time, we’re happy to work up an estimate for you.
Absolutely. Friends don’t lock friends into contracts. We’d hate to see you go but understand that sometimes you just have to do what you have to do. Request a cancellation via email to support@foerstel.com, and we will immediately stop the next payment.
Although these plans originated for sites we’d built, we welcome those looking for a techie friend.
We first like to do a Website Evaluation to become familiar with the website, how it was built and any potential issues that can arise. With the evaluation, we will perform all the “Website Updates and Monitoring” tasks and make a full backup. Most importantly we will make a list of issues to fix and suggestions for improvement needed in order to proceed with the website on a monthly plan. Based on your type of website, this Website Evaluation is a normally $499 but we’re currently including this FREE!
For anything above and beyond your monthly time allowance we bill at $160 an hour. Don’t worry though… we always run overages by you for approval first.
