Establish a Clear Brand Identity Strategy

Social media is becoming the easiest and most convenient place for consumers to communicate with brands. Remember that when consumers are upset, they want to feel heard and look for the easiest channel to talk to someone about it. Meet your customers where they are by paying close attention to your direct messages as they will most likely voice their concerns there instead of through an email.

It is crucial to set up a guide for how you want your employees to respond to consumers when they are at a point of crisis. Consider looking into your accounts on social media to gain a better understanding of generally what the public is saying about your brand.

Prepare for Changes

Social media is constantly changing and evolving. As a business, you must stay on top of the changes and developments occurring on each social media platform. Changes in social media occur daily. Be actively listening to everything that is being said about your company and your overall industry.

Take Advantage of Outsourcing

Businesses need to be active and consistent on social media. You will find it challenging to build a strong community on social media if you are not consistent with posting and engagement. This becomes difficult because many businesses are too busy to monitor their social media channels constantly. Consider outsourcing your social media projects to ensure you are doing your best with your social media efforts.

Tom Foerstel

Founder & President

Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area in the 60’s, Tom developed a strong desire to create positive change for people and planet.

He went on to pursue his passion for art and design at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, and worked for design firms in Southern California before moving to Boise, Idaho in the early 80’s. Foerstel Design opened its doors in 1985. Since its inception, the firm has cultivated a bold, happy, forward-looking team focussed on creating distinct and effective work on behalf of their clients.

An integral part of Tom’s philosophy is giving back to the community in which he lives — a company cornerstone that drives Foerstel’s long history of providing pro-bono services to local non-profit humanitarian and arts programs.

One of Tom’s proudest personal achievements is his ability to say Supercalifragilisticexpyalidocious backwards.
