01. about the project
When this brand first came to us, it was known as Klean Kitchen Company. The client tasked FPM with renaming and rebranding and wanted something more casual, unpretentious, and honest. We recognized this as an opportunity to reimagine it as a crave-worthy concept that could become Boise’s new active community spot.
Our identity development aimed at establishing the newly-named “The Protein Spot” as an approachable destination where clean nutrition, community, and performance come together. The illustrative “PS” logo-mark features a custom lightning bolt shaped like a fork, merging energy and nutrition into a bold, memorable monogram. A vibrant orange-red palette reinforces energy and appetite while ensuring memorability within a health-food landscape dominated by green tones.
The logo extends into a flexible identity system featuring local icons, taglines, and repeatable patterns that extend across packaging, signage, and environmental graphics. Rooted in Boise, ID, the system draws inspiration from the city’s outdoors-driven culture and strong sense of community. Regional references were integrated to make the brand feel distinctly local.
We’re proud to have crafted a brand that not only stands out visually but also authentically reflects Boise’s spirit. The Protein Spot proves that nutritious food can be delicious, approachable, and connected to the community it serves.
