4th Annual Blanket Drive

2014-blanket-drive

We’re thrilled to announce we’re beginning our 4th annual Blanket Drive to benefit Corpus Christi and Interfaith Sanctuary. We are currently seeking donations of new or gently used blankets and twin-sized bedding. Additionally, essential items such as travel-size toiletries, hand sanitizer, coffee and non-dairy creamer are also requested.

Donations are being accepted now through December 19, 2014 and can be dropped off during business hours (8am – 5pm, Monday – Friday) at Foerstel Design (249 S. 16th St.).
“This year we had Adams Elementary and the Eagle High Cheerleaders contact us because they want to participate in the drive.” said project manager Laura Martin, “It was great they collected over 30 blankets and sheets – it really helped jump start the donations this year.”
We’d also like to invite you to the Distribution of the Blankets on December 20th at 7pm. The event will take place at the Homeless Memorial Service at Corpus Christi House (525 S. Americana Blvd.). It’s a special event to remember and honor those who died while homeless, formerly homeless, or were a homeless advocate.

Tom Foerstel

Founder & President

Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area in the 60’s, Tom developed a strong desire to create positive change for people and planet.

He went on to pursue his passion for art and design at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, and worked for design firms in Southern California before moving to Boise, Idaho in the early 80’s. Foerstel Design opened its doors in 1985. Since its inception, the firm has cultivated a bold, happy, forward-looking team focussed on creating distinct and effective work on behalf of their clients.

An integral part of Tom’s philosophy is giving back to the community in which he lives — a company cornerstone that drives Foerstel’s long history of providing pro-bono services to local non-profit humanitarian and arts programs.

One of Tom’s proudest personal achievements is his ability to say Supercalifragilisticexpyalidocious backwards.
