Idaho Shakespeare Festival Through the Years

Comedy, tragedy, and music: from 1977 on the Idaho Shakespeare Festival (ISF) has been bringing thrilling theatre to Boise. If you haven’t caught a performance yet this summer, you only have a few weeks left! Pack a picnic and enjoy theatre under the stars.

Foerstel is a proud partner, and sponsor, of the festival. Since 2006 they’ve trusted their branding to us. Everything from the program to the posters, website to mailers come from our creative minds.

Take a stroll with us through the past 13 years of Foerstel ISF designs shown below. What’s your fave?

Foerstel became a Shakespeare Festival donor because we love our community, and ISF is a cornerstone of the local arts scene. Besides a summer of theater, ISF offers camps for up-and-coming talent, intensive apprenticeship programs, service learning opportunities, and so much more.

It’s an honor to donate our time and resources to such an amazing cause. Next time you’re in the theatre see if you spot a Foerstel volunteer, or flip through the program you’re handed at the gate. Don’t get distracted though: You’ve got a show to watch!

Tom Foerstel : Founder & President

Tom Foerstel

Founder & President

Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area in the 60’s, Tom developed a strong desire to create positive change for people and planet.

He went on to pursue his passion for art and design at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, and worked for design firms in Southern California before moving to Boise, Idaho in the early 80’s. Foerstel Design opened its doors in 1985. Since its inception, the firm has cultivated a bold, happy, forward-looking team focussed on creating distinct and effective work on behalf of their clients.

An integral part of Tom’s philosophy is giving back to the community in which he lives — a company cornerstone that drives Foerstel’s long history of providing pro-bono services to local non-profit humanitarian and arts programs.

One of Tom’s proudest personal achievements is his ability to say Supercalifragilisticexpyalidocious backwards.
