real life graffiti

112501
While many artists seek to replicate reality through three-dimensional paintings, Los Angeles-based artist Alexa Meade goes the opposite route and paints on three-dimensional subjects to make them seem two-dimensional. The clever artist uses her keen eye for color and experience in painting to cover real-life figures in acrylic, transforming them into a seemingly flat work of art.
Meade manages to not only paint live models into believable 2D renditions of themselves, but also integrates them into walls covered in multi-hued graffiti. She merges her fine art skills with street art and photography to produce these remarkable images of stencil-like monochrome urban youths against colorful spray painted murals.
