may in motion 2014

mim

This year, our office decided to participate in National Bicycle Month, by being a part of ACHD Commuteride May In Motion (MiM) program. If you’re unfamiliar with the program, their message is simple: use alternate transportation for the month of May to/from work. It was easy to sign up (for free!) and lovely folks at Commuteride took care of the rest. Thanks to them, we now have tracking sheets to log our rides to/from the office, plus a bag full of stellar goodies to reward officemates participating in MiM 2014.

We’re excited to take part in the event, not only for the Boise community, but our own personal health and mother nature. We hope this ignites us all to rethink our various modes of transportation throughout the entire year and make decisions based on reducing our carbon footprint. Check back here in early June to see who participated the most!

Tom Foerstel

Founder & President

Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area in the 60’s, Tom developed a strong desire to create positive change for people and planet.

He went on to pursue his passion for art and design at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, and worked for design firms in Southern California before moving to Boise, Idaho in the early 80’s. Foerstel Design opened its doors in 1985. Since its inception, the firm has cultivated a bold, happy, forward-looking team focussed on creating distinct and effective work on behalf of their clients.

An integral part of Tom’s philosophy is giving back to the community in which he lives — a company cornerstone that drives Foerstel’s long history of providing pro-bono services to local non-profit humanitarian and arts programs.

One of Tom’s proudest personal achievements is his ability to say Supercalifragilisticexpyalidocious backwards.
