We’re proud to share our involvement in a truly meaningful milestone: the commissioning of the USS Idaho submarine Saturday, April 25th. From creative direction to on-the-ground activation, our team at FPM has had the privilege of contributing to this historic event in more ways than one.

01. designing the moment
FPM was chosen to lead the design of the official USS Idaho commissioning assets. Our goal was to create a visual identity that carries the weight of the USS Idaho’s commissioning alongside the unmistakable personality of Idaho itself.
From concept development through final production, every detail was thoughtfully considered to support the tone and importance of the ceremony. Being trusted with this responsibility is something we don’t take lightly, and it’s been incredibly rewarding to see the work come to life. Plus, how fun is it to design a SPUDMARINE!

02. bringing the experience to life
In addition to design, we’re excited to be part of the event experience itself. As the team behind the Big Idaho Potato Truck, we’ll be on-site for the commissioning, helping create a memorable and engaging atmosphere for attendees.
The truck has long served as a recognizable and approachable way to connect with audiences, and we’re thrilled to bring that energy to such a significant occasion.
The USS Idaho, nicknamed the “Silent Spud,” makes this opportunity even more special. Being able to support an event that blends two Idaho Potato icons.
